About Us

HyperSpace Express (HSX) is a Dutch partnership (VOF) located in Den Haag, and owned by Steve and his sister and bandmate Naomi Rivkis. See the footer for our KvK (Chamber of Commerce) nunber.

Naomi Rivkis

Naomi Rivkis was born in New York City in 1970, a time and place where anything seemed possible. She first learned to be an activist at the University of Chicago, and a writer at Clarion West Writer's Workshop, before expanding both skills through frequent usage over the intervening years.

In 2024 she emigrated to the Netherlands, where she lives now with her husband, her chosen brother, and four cats. Multiple adult children drop in regularly. She is part of a folk music band called Kaleidofolk, which performs mostly within the science fiction community.

Steve Savitzky

Steve Savitzky has been in the computer industry for a long time. He was a graduate student in Computer Science at Stanford when the ARPANET was founded, and dropped out of the PhD program to become a programmer in 1971. He wrote his first (and so far only) book, Real-Time Microprocessor Systems, in 1985. He has been building websites since 1994 or thereabouts.

In 2024 he came out of retirement to join forces with Naomi and found the latest incarnaton of HyperSpace Express.
